Swips is a two-person company. We want this site to work for everyone who wants to buy a sweatband, including people who use a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, or zoom the page well past 100 percent.

What We Aim For

We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 at level AA. That is the standard most US courts and the Department of Justice point to. We are not claiming full conformance. We are telling you what we measure against and what we have done.

What We Have Done

We audited every text element on this site for color contrast and corrected the ones that fell short of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text. Images that carry meaning have alternative text. Images that are decorative are hidden from screen readers rather than announced as noise. The page has a skip link, a declared language and a heading structure you can navigate.

Known Limits

Parts of this site come from third parties. Our email signup form is served by Klaviyo and our checkout is served by Shopify. We do not control their markup. If either one blocks you, tell us and we will raise it with them and find you another way to buy.

Tell Us When Something Breaks

This is the part that matters. If any page, form or button on swipsband.com stops you from doing what you came to do, email hello@swipsband.com and describe what happened. Include the page and the assistive technology you use if you can. We read every message and we will reply within 5 business days.

If something is blocking a purchase, say so and we will take your order over email while we fix the page.
